Funny Story GT500 vs Cobalt tc

So last night I was at the normal hang out spot and this new GT500 rolls up with the usual crew. They were just coming back from downtown. Apparently the GT500 was cruising pretty fast on the highway and a kid in the group in his 08 Cobalt tc runs up on him. Every one that witnessed this said that he hung right with the GT500. Naturally I called bs. So I talked to the owner of the shelby. He said that he just got the car and was just learning how to drive stick... Naturally everyone was pissed that I called bs. So finally he agrees to race me (cobalt tc). We go from a dig and i get bad wheel hop because I got on it too quickly. So I shut it down. Naturally he says that was a win for him. Which is fine, I messed up he wins. So then we go from a 40 roll. I honk and pull a car, then two then three. My buddy behind us says I was close to four cars ahead. Everyone was very confused by this...including myself. And he said that he went all out too. Discuss and explain what happened.

the guy driving the gt500 is LEARNING to drive a stick on a car with 500hp and a short throw shifter.. i wonder if it was hard for him to get gear's to go in.. he need's to trade in his key's and learn on a ford fiesta or some crap.. and doesnt the TC have launch controll? and i ll bet money he was using no lift shift even without the launch controll.. either way it's like the video of the cobalt beating the m3.. it jus didnt happen like that.. there's SOMTHING a miss here.. a big miss.. havent the gt500's broke low 11's on the stock tires?

The guy probably started in 3rd and couldn't get it out...heck, that's if he got past 4000rpm

ya idk like i said i wasn't there to witness it, so i called bs. Thats why I wanted to race the cobalt. And I know that I wouldn't keep up with a GT500, and since I beat the TC there was no way he could stay with the shelby. He couldn't keep up with me. I thought we would have had a much closer race to be honest. But ya I appologize for no video's of any of this, I dont own a vid camera...well one that would work at night haha.
