It's funny cause I was raised in Asheville and all of my family is from rural parts of NC, I consider myself to have a very light southern accent. When I worked at a grocery store 5 minutes outside the city limits people always asked me if I was from up north.

I guess it was all the Mr. Rogers I watched as a kid, lol
