Hense the reason why i said properly running. Go back and look at reviews of them when they came out and over the years, they were faster than a stock RL and if maintained would still be. Hell my 1988 Turbo T-bird bone stock with 138k miles on it ran a 16.3@88mph 1/4-mile time, which was equal to road and tracks time in 1988 and 0.1 seconds faster than car and driver. You can have an old car that is properly taken care of that will still run times like it was new.

I raced a VR4 when I was stock. His car had fewer miles on the clock than mine, was garage kept and maintained meticulously, perfect running condition. We had some good runs! He got me off the line, but I caught up (don't know if it was before the 1320ft. mark, probably not), but I killed him pretty good from a roll, then he started making excuses that he had a passenger (girlfriend who was laughing at him) and some stuff in the back. I saw the same guy a few months later, and he wanted a rematch without the extra weight in his car. Unfortunately for him, I had just got my stg2 installed, so it was much worse for him than the 1st time. From a dig I caught him by the top of 2nd gear this time, and put around 3 cars on him in 3rd. He declined to go from a roll this time, lol.

Haha nice race man. I used to have a DOHC non-turbo stealth, and it was nowhere near as quick as my redline. Allthough many stock VR-4s and stealth TTs have been known to break mid-high 13's stock, with a good driver who maintains it of course. I have a friend with one that has intake, boost controller, turbo-back exhaust and a lightweight flywheel who ran right next to me from a 40 roll with my mods. Every once and a while you will find one that hasnt been molested.

Lots of guys with stage 2 run high 13's. Im going to the track next weekend, but last time I was there the track wouldnt hold anything and the best I did was 14.8 @99.4 but that was stock. Also you have to remember that the vr-4 can run mid 13's with a good launch, which is why they have the huge advantage being AWD, but their traps are usually around 100-102 which is why its close from a roll.
