What exactly does the stage III WRX have, because a stage 2.5 would be something like a full turboback exhaust VF34 turbo with injectors and a chip, which is good for high 12s low 13s@104mph in the 1/4. A stage II wrx is a full exhaust/chip which is good for low to mid 13s@101mph. Stage I wrx which is just a chip is good for high 13s@97mph. What does your car have done to it? Nice vids by the way.

Well, the WRX did kinda walk him fro ma dig, which would show the differences when racing on the 1320. But once rolling, that's where our motor shines, as you could see. I believe its got that power.

I am curious to what his mods are, i mean a stock wrx is only a touch slower then a rl from a roll. I don't even know what stage III entails but stage 2.5 would walk a RL pretty easily from a roll. Stage 2.5 is an upgraded turbo/full exhaust/chip/bigger injectors.

Heres his mods
* Sard shortram intake
* Samco in/out turbo pipes
* 20 inch Huge Topmount Intercooler
* HKS BOV
* Vinny Ten 3" downpipe
* HKS Titanium Turbo back
* Zero Cats
* Stage 2 "Agressive" Cobb Tuning ECU Flash
* HKS EVC V
* Apexi S-AFC
* HKS grounding kit
And no stage 4 is a different turbo go by the HKS stages
And stock for stock and roll for roll theres no way a stock wrx is only a tad slower its a lot slower.

Well since he has a cobb tune he should be going by cobb stages. BOV's and Intakes hinder the performance of a WRX unless they are running after market turbos and are custom tuned for them. He is at Cobb Stage II which makes alot more sense seeing as how the races turned out. A stock WRX traps anywhere from 93-96mph with a decent driver. From the numbers i have seen here the redlines are anywhere from 95-98mph, to me thats a tad. The biggest difference could be 5mph, but at the same time a wrx could also trap faster, now thats not going to be the case in most situations. I know the redline is quicker then the wrx from a roll, but if you can show me consistant redline traps of 98-100mph then i will go with they are a lot faster, but from what i see here they are only a few mph faster in the 1/4. If you race up past 100mph the redline is probably alot faster since the wrx's 4th gear is crap, but racing over 100mph from a roll is just stupid anyway, unless you are on a legal race track. My brother bought a wrx in november of 2001 i have been into them for a long time now so i know what they run. And judging by the numbers from people on this site, they are close.

nice vids. and i knew the cobalt ss's were pretty quick. they trap close to srt-4's stock for stock. im still glad that the domestic makers are FINALLY making competitive cars against the jdm kiddies. next summer is gonna be a fun one with ss's and rl's more in abundance.
