whats in the stage 2 then that makes it overall worse?

if its only 3 hp more and -tq whats the point of spending extra cash on it?

My guess is that stage 3 depends on stage 2 for more power. What mods does each stage have?

Hi all. You should have read more. A properly installed Stage kit makes 260whp on pump, 280whp on racegas.

No way our car comes close to the same time zone in a race, I don't know who the tool is that posted this. It's obviously BS...

quick over-view.

srt4 stock--roughly 215-230WHP
stage 1 = '03 upgraded injectors and ecu(computer)
'04-'05.5 upgraded ecu 235-245whp


stage 2 = even bigger injectors, new ecu, wastegate and the option for
turbo toys. 255-285whp


stage 3 = upgraded turbo, fuel pump
315-385whp

this is just a taste of the opitons available for this car, but I figure you get
the idea.

the stage upgrades are primarily lead-ins for an upgraded turbo, which the
car was built for. An srt4 is an extremely de-tuned version of itself.

the redline and cobalt ss are gm's version of a "pocket hot rod", so understand
the simple goal of both companies, to make a car that will inspire the
tuner market to take notice, and bring the bragging rights back to the
states.

Sorry, I see where my post could have been misconstrued. I was saying hi to all of you, but only saying read more to syphrus

Stages are as follows, all hp numbers are ballpark whp, based on my three years of being very involved with the SRT community.

Stage 1 = computer + injectors for 03s bump to about 230ish
04/05s only get the computer, figure 235-240

Stage 2 splits into two flavors, called "with Turbo Toys and without"

Turbo Toys gives

1. A computer controlled, semi smart intercooler sprayer

2. Dial-A-Boost thumbwheel that allows two standalone settings (7ish psi and 12ish) for when you want less power for new drivers, limited traction, etc. and two "launch modes" each of which limits boost in 1st gear , but one has a higher initial boost setting so you can use slicks

3. High Octane Mode - fill up with 100 octane, run it through the system, hit this and get + 20 whp as the computer changes spark advance and fuel trims

Common items are 3 bar sensors, injectors, and an adjustable WGA.

All this is Mopar tested and passed stock longevity testing And Stage 3 comes this way too. Numbers for that are 310 and 350, with the 2.5 inch Mopar exhaust.
