RL v. Prelude

Experienced my first ricer flyby today. Was tooling along on a four-lane highway around here, notorious for prowling ricers, still learning the ropes of my new RL, when I see a last-model year Prelude coming up on my left. I dropped back to 30 or so to see if he wanted to play. I always liked the looks of the Prelude, so I figured I'd see how well the RL went up against it.

He glanced over and I guess he thought he'd make himself look good in front of his girlfriend, who happened to be with him. I guess he downshifted to second and immedietly pulled away, fart-can blatting (only ricer bit on it...otherwise, he had a clean looking car).

I downshifted to 2nd, punched it, and pulled a car length ahead to about 55, when we shifted around the same time. 3rd gear, around 75, I had two or three car lengths on him, then backed off. Too many cops in that area.

Then the ricer flyby. He wouldn't look over, but his gf did.

I know the Prelude's not the best car to feel good about picking on, but I'm still new to this. This ain't your g'mas Saturn! I'm loving this car

I like the quotes around race. Wasn't much of one...but fun just the same. I love the looks the RL gets mostly--the "what the hell is that?" or "what the hell just beat me?" look. Worth the price of admission.

I think she was more interested in why a pretty blue Saturn just waisted her boyfriend's red-ricer But, of course, I couldn't tell after that...since he was busy flying by to make himself feel better. He probably just needed another VTEC sticker.

it takes a pretty shallow bitch to want someone just cause their car beat their boyfriends.

my girlfriend could give 2 shits what happens.

besides, racing with your chic sitting next to you is for toolbags. if youre gonna do something that dangerous, leave your girl at home...

Hey some girls get frisky after some spirited driving, although if you are going to get beat then the girl's only going to want to look for someone with a BIGGER torque curve......

I know plenty of girls that egg the guy on!

There's a turbo Prelude running around here, I used to work down the mall from the kid that owns it. Before I got a real job. I'm stalking his ass. I saw it broke down on the road a few weeks ago. Looks like I should have been racing him then!

The faster my pistons move, the taller my torque becomes. If you know what I'm saying.
