as i take off faster then needed at a light...this 300 C revs up and blows by me...we eventually meet at another light and i ask him what he has done to it...he said it was supercharged and automatic...and obvioulsy exahust work done...at the next light we meet up and both take off...i get a jump off the line..and hold it...i end up winning by about 1/2 car...good race and chill guy...

Nice. I thought those cars were supposed to be running about equal to ours, but i guess it was all hype.

They have a ton of different engines for them.

DOHC 24-valve 2.7-liter V-6, 190 hp, 190 lb-ft; SOHC 24-valve 3.5-liter V-6, 250 hp, 250 lb-ft; pushrod 16-valve 5.7-liter V-8, 340 hp, 390 lb-ft and the SRT-8.

Hmmmm,

blown 5.7 = +400 whp (should be good for mid-low 13s

blown SRT-8 = +500whp (hahahahaahhahha 12s for sure)

So I'm guessing it's not either one of those.

Maybe a blown V6, but I've not heard of such.

GS Motorsports has recently (only in the last week or two) finished putting the final touches and giving back to the customers a blown 6.1 SRT-8 300C, a 5.7 Magnum, and a 5.7 Charger. And they just got a shop SRT magnum which they are working on now.

Sounds like he was slinging bull. A normal 5.7 300 should be just where you said, high 14s to low 15s. Which would put him 1/2 car back from you.

Who knows... you can't guess 1/4 mile numbers like that.. well kinda...

My boss has an SRT10 with just under 750 at the wheels. Still has the temp tags on it when it got it's supercharger installed. He was only running mid-12's with it.

I agree it was probably the V6. Or the auto sucks 100hp! I'm not sure how much boost you can run through the V6...

Did it have dual exhaust? Not exactly a dead giveaway, but could clue us in to a V6 or V8.

But, of course, if he went to the bizarre trouble of s/c a V6 when he could've just bought the Hemi, I assume he might've put dual exhaust on. But why?

not true the touring package has dual exhaust with the 3.5
