dream cruise aftermath

after getting dome with the cruise I went out to my friends house who lives off another popular street people cruise called gratiot, so i did a couple laps before heading over.

First was a grand prix gtp, red with two older guys in their 40s driving. Im rockin without a hood so once I get next to them they stare and then start blipping the throttle next to me. so we catch a good roll after a light and we both stomp it, he pulls maybe 4 feet, then the turbo comes up on boost, 4k, 5k 6k, the T4 is really pulling, i shortshift at 6500, come into third and he gaines the couple feet he just lost, dam shouldnt of shorted, were about dead even, once i get to about 6000 in first i had gained about half a car and was still pullin, then he shut down.
I got next to him at the following light and he said he had a 2.8 pulley, and man that supercharger was loud as hell.

so next i catch a newer 300zx at a light (also red), looks pretty stock cept for the apexi and triple gauge pod, so im guessin its TT. IM thinkin eh he pry only has stock turbos and that apex is pry just a avc. So I ask him if he wants to run at the light lol-rear wheel drive really woulda owned. But he declines and suggests we get rolling first. So we get up to about 35 I think, then he motions me to go, so I take off first, man my car felt so dam good pullin hard as hell, rockin 10 psi, once I get to 6k rpm I hear him already chirp into third and hes a good two cars lengths ahead, so i carry the revs out to 7500, then blast hard into third, and he gains another car easy already ahead by 3 cars, form there he kept pulling, but thankfully he shut down, about 4-5 cars ahead, ive never been in a race on the street with a car that quick it was cool as hell to see it movin that fast, especially when my car felt so dam good. so I got next to him and my friend asked how much boost and he said 18 psi and not stock turbos then he got off and turned.

So how the hell can I be mad at losin to a 18 psi 300zx lol, I had instant wood after that one. funny to think a little over a year ago i wouldhave been happy to beat a scion xb in the satty lol.

you drive the sc right? i saw your car on either sat or fri i cant remember but i do remember a turbo sc or sl either way

yep the silver first gen, 92 SC, automatic pcm lets it rev to vtaak territory lol.

yea, I took mine just over 140 just once to see if it really could and it was still slowly climbing

Last weekend I hit the magic 140 #. Scary as all hell but HOT DAMN. The car is only drag limited...Oh and fat ass limited too heh.
