350z stay far away from me....please?!?

Hehe...
Oh boy oh boy.
A real battle on the business stretch tonight...

Heavy late rush hour traffic.

silver redline (me) vs. 350z silver (auto?, I didn't see any shift gaps)...BATTLE FUCKING ROYALE

So anyway, this was more even than I thought. On acceleration we were pretty evenly matched from a dead stop, he passed a couple of times when I was decelerating at red lights (I don't know why, I guess he can stop better) or slowing for the old white line speed traps.

So I was heavy weaving and he wasn't able to keep up (driver error?), I pulled through the traffic to a wide open at around 80 mph and he disappeared in the traffic (behind a slower car) then eventually passed me at a speed trap. Then I passed him when teh speed trap was done, weaved through more traffic entered the open (him behind another car) and went to teh gas station for a Jones Soda.

350z owners: learn to drive your damn car or prepare to look stupid behind a friggin SATURN.

End of Story.

Nice Kill!!! My old manager has a 350z he's so proud of. When he first got it he said he wanted to run me in my gsx. He never did, as everyone at work told him he would be embarrassed, and he backed down. Now I want to find him in my RL, and see how he reacts to getting beaten by a Saturn.

I'll bet all those people you passed in heavy traffic were in awe of your driving skills. Way to go killer!

350Z has a lot more power than the redline. Once in third, they will leave your butt behind. He wasn't racing.

1st of all That is about the worst time to race is during traffic. what does that prove?? people wanna race at night or in next to no traffic, fine, but it pisses me off when people race weaving through cars on a busy day. I have seen Eclipse racing older RX-7 a while back...the Eclipse Slammed into the back of a Cavalier, I heard the next morning about the accident on the radio that a 10 yr old boy sitting in the back seat of the Cavy was paralyzed(sp) all b/c someone wanted to race. if your going to do it do it at the Track, if u don't wanna go to the track atleast wait until Late at night or something where there isn't a lot of cars and people out.

2nd of all good kill

I agree, why would you want to race in traffic? Makes no sense. It was sometime last year when a whole family in a van was killed all because some idiot tried to do some Fast And Furious stunt. Pisses me off when innocent people die for no reason.

First off, they come with 287-300 CRANK horsepower, second, they weigh a TON. More than most would imagine, but 3rd... should be a faster car than a RL. Stock vs. Stock. Good runs.

This constant attack of the person for racing in traffic is stupid. First of all, if no one raced on the street, there would be no kill stories, second of all, 95% of the people here engage in it in some form or another. Of course, everyone will claim they don't now... Don't give me some crap about nighht time is better either, all that does is reduce the distance you can see. Might be less cars out, but how are you gonna see that 10yr old run across the street after sneaking out.

Nukem, didn't I hear a story about you losing while racing an Acura TL?? I assume that was on the strip though?

Good runs, I believe it. They are a drivers race stock for stock versus a SRT4, and considering from a stop the RL keeps up with the SRT4 I'd assume you could do the same with a 350Z. Like someone else said, if he had gotten to 3rd he would've pulled on you slowly. Racing in traffic is a no no, but good kill.

About a week ago I was on the 60 in cali and lined up with a 2005 infinity g35 coupe automatic. We raced twice from 60 on the freeway. We were dead even both times until I went into 5 and I gained 1/2 a fender. So I know my car can run. Mind you I have a k&n airfilter and that's it. Oh wait I do have 250lbs. of stero stuff. LATER.
