Arrow Indy 465 race!

So this past Saturday at work I get some guys talking shit about how my RL sucks and how Saturns suck and what not. Well I decide to put them in ther place. So here was the setup. I put up $100 to any of these jokers that could beat me. The course was a good a one we would head south on I-69 cut over to 465 go west and end somwhere around US 421 a total distance of around 15 miles. Well guess what I got five takers on my offer so that made a total purse of $600, so icluding me that made six cars this was gonna be fun! The cars participating were as follows
1. Me in my 05 RL with AEM intake, SPEC stage 2 clutch, exhaust
2. 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS with ehxaust and lambo doors
3.03 mistubish Eclipse GTS
4. 04 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ with exhaust, nitrous, and turbo
5. 05 Cobalt SS Supercharged
6. 06 Honda Civic SI (yes it was the new one)

Well the action started with a few stoplight drags to warm up the only real competition came from the SS and the civic in those with me losing only once to the SS by about half a length. Finally we got on to the main event at around 1 A.M.
Since 69 was dead at this time of night we all were able to line and start form a dead stop. Go time! The SS and I easily jumped out in front followed closely by the civic, the mitsus were bringing up the rear. Around 115 or so the SS and I started to leave the Civic. I t eventually turned out to be pretty much me and the SS the whole time swapping the lead. Well to make a long sory short I won the race and am now $600 richer maybe Ill use it to save up for the stage kits. Howeve the racw was not without incident during the race the was a sharp banked off-ramp that we had to take to go from 69 to 465 we had the lancer spin out and just about hit the guardrail, Ive got video of it its hillarious. The kid in the lancer was the youngest of the group at only 16 and like an idiot he said he hit the N20 at about 90 going into the turn figured he could drift the car thru it and just lost it. The other incident happened after the race hen the guy in the 99 eclipse realized that he had a flat not real that big of a deal but it still sucked! Hopefully these younguns have learned not to mess with the RL and that you dont have to drive foreign to drive fast for cheap!

Arrow

Well, good job earnin the money, but take some smarter drivers next time. That's the whole reason 16 year olds shouldn't have nitrous, because think they can drift in their FWD cars.

Didn't say anything about good, I just said smart. Don't care how much talent someone might have, but sprayin on an on ramp is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of. He must either really believe he could drift or really want to meet that guardrail.

I'm a bit confused on how he got his hands on the new SI, unless he's got connections?
I thought the official car wasn't even going to be SHOWN until sema and not even hit lots until December?
I could be wrong and more than willing to admit if it that's so, but what car dealerships have the SI already? I called up a few and they all said the same thing about the December release date. Does he have some sweet connections or something?

yea wanted to make sure, they're not supposed to go on sale until next month, either the other guy badged a non-SI one or he has some serious connections....

Should've called me so I could've joined in on the erm..law abiding fun. Just like I might have raced a Eagle Talon TSI from a roll and from a dig..and beat it both times..just saying that might've happened...

btw not to call BS on you or start ripping into you, but how is it like a week ago you weren't able to drive the RL for months because your dad took away your keys until you paid him whatever and you were asking for money donations, but now everything is fine and dandy????

Maybe he snuck the keys off the key rack, slowly crept out of the house, and got back before his dad woke up.
