You seem to be the expert when it comes to ignition system troubles.

my key lock cylinder failed with the car on and the key in the ignition, so i plugged and unplugged the green clip to the ignition switch for weeks until I could fix it. While I was using the green clip to shut off the car, i think it shorted something out. So far, I've replaced the key lock cylinder, ignition switch, crank/start relay and crank fuse. When I try to start the car, the fuse blows once I turn the key. I've narrowed it down to the connections between the fuse box and the starter, and i've heard that is probably something within my bcm. any thoughts?

sorry i didnt want to embarrass myself in front of everyone. first are the lights on the RL ground switched? why couldnt there be a resistor to simulate the light, and send current to ground? I have used resistors to make "light cut outs" on brake lights before. Just seeking a jedi's advice.
