Interceptor

Alright, got my interceptor a few days ago, finally got to mess with it a bit. First off when I hooked it up, I was looking at the psi, and hp... which are both crazy off stock. After adjusting the altitude to 800 when the engine is off it runs at 0 and on it runs from -11 to 10 (shouldn't it be at 12.5 stock and 13 with weapon r?) ... also my fuel mileage is a bit high I think, and the hp is only reading 190. I hope maybe rice or someone will chime in because I have pulled on stock, to slightly modded ss's from a roll... I know im not running 190 when they are dynoing at 220 whp. I guess the hp/mileage doesn't really matter, but the psi is really something I wanted to see.

For the Big + because im a damn newbie the obd2 powered everthing very very bright and nice. It didn't even include a power line on the extra cable. The gauge is really, simply, amazing... I have liked the weight, the setup, the shift lights (I set them at 6400 because if I set them at 6500, it hits the rev limitor before I can even shift). It updates crazy fast, and the recording feature along with the 0-60,1/8, and 1/4 seem to run very VERY nice.

This gauge is a nice bonus to anyone with our car, obvious from everyone else that has posted about it... because it clears that trouble code light that comes on every now and then.

Thanks for reading and any input about the gauges #'s would be awesome.

re: the shift light feature...do you have the scan rate set to the default 3 or did you knock it to 1? You'll want the fastest scan rate for the most accurate shift light performance.

Yeppers I set it to 1 for the shift light. What I thought was if I set the lights at 6500 which is the stock limit for rpms than the lights flicker real fast right at the rev limit point which knocks. Well if I set it at 6400 it flashes right at 6400 and then I shift at like 6425-6450-6475 if im slow. But if I lagged or waited for the light any longer than 1/10 second I think that it would hit the rev limiter. I thought that it would know what people mean by setting it to the rev limit and flash accordingly but I havent ever had a cool gauge like this, so I guess I will have to keep it at 6400 for now. Thanks-

just for anyone whos reading and trying to help, I am trying to figure out how to get the real psi,hp, and gas milage set... because stock this thing is off by at leaste 1.5 on the psi boost, and at leaste 20 on the hp, but the gas is prob. almost correct. Thanks again for anything contributed, oh and my gauge is resetting the boost every time I start the vehicle?

Oh my bad, I was thinking you were using the 7k+ Rev Limiter and you were needing to accomodate for 3-400 RPM lag...when I got my Raptor light, I started at 100 shy like you, but found that I STILL bounced it on some WOT runs...now I think I have it at 300 below and that works better for me...I bounce it sometimes, but no where near as often...usually I shift with about 150 RPMs left.

Ahh, I think im going to need to spend more time messing with this gauge. Settings are changing everything easily, and I know about where I should be mpg and hp so I should set it up and report back. Still no idea about the only 11.5 psi instead of 12.5 or 13 with the intake. But I don't even know if I should be watching those as much as others that are well worth watching.

I couldnt find a damn thing on the net so I just searched this forums for interceptor and found TONS of info:
alright I will work out the final bugs for sure today and tune this gauge for my car and report back readings. The altitude setting is not sticking, its resetting it every time I turn the car on, which sucks (but it might need to be reset so that psi=0.0 every start). Well im going to bump the hp whatever it states at 100% (185hp) to 215 (105%) and look to make sure the mpg are matching up as well sense they are bundled so they both have to match (sense I don't know my exact hp... net hp= wheel hp I hope). Also the psi should say 0.0 when the key is turned on and not anything else (such as 0.02, 0.07...) so you gotta adjust your altitude a bit to even it out. I hope im not boring anyone here but to make posts so that if other people are wondering, they can search like I did. l8r!
