Next Midwest Drag Strip Meet

Lets get some suggestions folks! A night-time weekday, weekend day, or even a weekend night would be good. The weather is getting cooler and the times are gonna be dropping, lets get some bad ass times to set the Redline bar a little higher, Tib, I'm looking at you!!!

I'm more than likely heading there tomorrow after I goto the BMW meet, but it's just for a test and tune...want to see what I can do with the temps being lower. Pulling on that SRT kinda made me curious..

As far as a group event..it's just hard because of the way that I work and the times the strips are open. I'm not sure how many more times I'm going to run my car this year before I park it for the winter (well..I'll drive it a bit with the rims from Omega) and start to buy my parts. I need to go out and get that extra head so I can use it to build and just slap it on my car and tune.

I wanna go....damn!

Hey, think we could swing a SE Regional meet somewhere, some weekend - October/November maybe? (or is that a semi-tabu subject, based on what happened with the Nat'l Meet?)

I know most of you are down around the Chicago area and what not, but how about Rock Falls Raceway in WI. Decent amount of RL's from MN come over to run. Prolly a bit long of a drive for some. I'll check the next date we can run and post it... just a thought.

Rock Falls has a $69 Test day on October 14th. You can get a good 10-16 runs in pretty easily, so alot of time to work on your technique and tuning. It's about 9 miles south of Eau Claire, WI, so there is more than enough hotels in the area, and lots of restaurants and bars(college town + WI ).

Sport Compact races are the week before, but we should all be at Autobahn!

Which, BTW, you guys should come out to sometime. They've got a few more Saturday T&Ts before they close for the year.

It's like $35 for a sport compact day but you are only getting like 3 runs for sure, more if you win. How much and how many runs do you guys get down in that area? We are kinda in the middle of nowhere here, but its the closest track for western WI and eastern MN. If there is a better track/deal down by you guys I'd definatly consider going.

When we went to US41 it was $25 and I couldn've run about 15-20+ times. I ran 5 and got there 2 hours before it closed, and was reprogramming cars in between, along with my own. vplike got like 10 runs in before I even got there at 7.

How far are you from Rockford, IL or Union Grove, WI?
