Hey Raven,

Haven't talked to anyone on the MNSC forum in a few months. Kind of a new group of people. I liked the old fashion MNSC. Oh well. I'll still stop in here & there at their gatherings.

Questions: What is this 'cooler wiring change? What all does this 'Competition package' option have?

Just collecting info on the mods as I hear about them so I don't get left in the dust come next season. Also don't want to screw up and order the wrong options or whatever and end up with a nice grocery getter car when I could have gotten the better parts or whatever. I think you know what I mean.

Why did you drop the Senior thing on MNSC? I'll need to get out of the house and actually meet up with some of YA guys. Don't laugh at my grocery getter car now, it is paid for in cash LOL!!! Just never had anything worth a damn back in 2002 when I found the car so I dropped the coin for it. Some of the MNSC guys thought it was interesting that I took a pathetically slow grocery getter and made it into something decent. Autobox is killing the performance out of the hole but oh well, not a drag car just a faster grocery getter

Last thing, where are you local guys at? Do you have a hangout on a specific day or evening? Be nice to see your Redlines up close and find out some more info on them. Was kind of hard leaving the Saturn dealer last Friday and not driving the car home

Later,
Mike

Thumbs up

So does the intercooler pump run more efficient by changing the motor's rotation around? What type of coolant are they using with this air to water intercooler? Is there an external radiator so to say that keeps said coolant down to a reasonable temp? Water Wetter used?

The base Redline, so to say, doesn't come with a posi? $1500 sounds like a pretty low price for a posi and that other stuff. Couldn't install one myself for that price after all the back aches Certainly can do without fog lights. Boost gauge is a nice addition though. Comp package also has those colored wheels right? Gun metal? Do any of the local guys have the comp package? I'll take some pic's if YA guys don't mind.

Denise (wife) is off work next weeks Wednesday (13th) so I will ask if she minds if I go to that Culver's. Good food at those places I'll probably be driving the Cavalier as I need to set my valve lash and some other minor things before I go too far from home in the summer car. Have to do the clutch in my SC-2 so that won't be out either.

Anyhow, appretiate the help & look forward to hangin out with YA'll at Culver's. I'll see if I can drive my summer car or not. Silencer is kind of noisy...not used to that stuff. LOL!!! Lots of homebrew parts on the car.

Later,
Mike

I recall that car at Mounds View that I drove last Friday would absolutely rip the tires loose in 1st and slam the limiter and it had the tires talking back to me when I lobed it into 2nd and squeezed her down. I slammed that limiter many times even trying easy out of the hole then squeezing it down in 1st. It was fun & Denise had a blast. She told me tonight that I sell my grocery getter & the car is mine, now. I still want to wait until next spring and order one the way I want it. It will be red if they offer that color next season.

Do you guys go to Rock? Haven't been there since the late '80's & early '90's. Gonna be fun next season Haven't owned a car with some balls in many years...

Mike
