Sat. Nov 12th Bonfire in IND??

Hello Midwest.
If Zville agrees lets all get together this Sat. Night at his crib or we can find someplace else to meet up here in INDY.
Up for discussion will be:
1. a Midwest RL Club with registry and dealership sponsor
2. an RL Homecoming to TN, with special tours of the ecotec engine and body plants sponsored by a local dealer.
3. club logo votes. artists bring your Midwest RL Club logo ideas.
4. having a very good time.

Might also try to plan a track day at IRP for the spring

what you should bring:
1.Your RL and any parts you want help installing (let us know about tools)
2. a very hot friend
3. some sort of food we aren’t all millionaires
4. Ideas about how to form and grow this club

Awards(nothing fancy lots of grief!!)
1. most modded RL
2. Longest haul

As a club places will take us seriously so that we can organize track days and tours at discounted prices........

Zville if we can't have it at your crib we need to find another place asap so let me know!!! call me and leave me a VM.

If you guys are doing a bon fire I only have one suggestion. And this comes from experience. (not mine but someone elses)

DO NOT park your car to close to the fire!!!! They melt.

If you all do make a trip to see the plant, you won't se anything too spectaular concering the 2.0 engines in the powertrain area. Everything comes already assembeled. The 2.2 and 2.4, now that's a different story. You don't have to have a dealer sponsor anything for the tour, you can call the Saturn welcome center and set up a tour time and date.

I haven't had that experience, but the next day your car will be covered with lots of ash. I've learned my lesson on that one.

We know we do not need a dealership sponsor, but what we're wanting that for is some of the things the dealership is offering (see: tickets to auto shows and nifty shirts)..

Matt can you call Zville, Im not sure he has seen the fact that I volunteered his crib

Last time I went to TN, they only did the genaric tour through assembly, I think with a dealership backing us we might get a much better tour

as a side not I know the 2.0 are built in germany, but I wouldn't mind seeing some regular ecotecs being built.

Like your number is dead or you just need to charge the dam thing?

Just called Zvill, I think his place is out, and I dont think Sears would let us start a fire in there parking lot, anyone else have an Idea of where we could have this bonfire....??? Looks like we only have about five people interested

Once again another one of your projects that I am going to have to drive, this is going to be a long winter....

Dude..I swear if I can pan this thing out the way I want it..it'll be a suicide car. My dad and I were able to easily lift the thing by ourselves and the body won't weigh too much. Figure in the engine, seat, suspension, gas tank, firewall, and a few other things it still won't weigh much..There was a guy at the shop when I brought it in that offered me money for it when I get it completed..he liked the concept.

and my cell is just not charged...

Damn Sears..damn them for not allowing fires in their parking lot!!!!

As for ideas of a different place to have our bon fire! I have..nothing. Give me a day or so and if you can come up with no ideas (C'mon Scott..you're like the super mastah (kick me for saying that) of the random coming up with shit..) I'll see what I can do..my neighbors house'd provide alot of light..erm..I didn't say that.
