I just came in my damn pants, I want a copy of that one, Raced with an electric indy car style car there and several times in the silver crowns lots of fun, I wish the drag strip hooked better though.

Ya that was the one nice thing about working at a Porsche dealership. I got to see sides of that car that many will never see.

I've seen the in and outs of quite a few 911s, 944s (This includes 968)(more so of that damned car than I really wanted to at times..), 914s, a 928, and even A 356.. The most I've seen of the CGT is the inside, engine, and undercarriage... I'm hoping as soon as I can get 'back on my feet' to pick up another 911 for yet another Pcar project...lord knows I need another.

Why didn't they run the road course?? I've crewed several times at IRP for SCCA races on the road course (never driven it myself), and spectated at OLOA where they used both the road course & drag strip, but I've only seen the oval from the outside. From that video, it looks like there is a cut through that makes it sort of a very small roval?

yeah they have like four to five track setups they can do there, I am hoping that matt and i can set upan RL club day and run roadcourses some saturday as an redlineforums.com thing held by the local dealers, and since ry knows htem we might actually be successfull.

It is very scary when your friend and driving instructor takes you out in his M-coupe and first hits the stright/drag strip as you get on it and hit all of that hot rubber it stops your slide in a hurry and you get all the traction you can muster, mean while he's still hard in the gas not noticing the inches of clearance between the fender and the wall on the pasanger side

Guys the only problem with the track at IRP is that it needs to be resurfaced there are some spots on it that are rough as hell that if you hit them will knock your fillings lose other than that its a nice course. We should also look into Putnam Park Speedway Ive raced that track in a viper, vette, and a boxer you cant get a lot of speed on it but its a very nice course lots of good turns I look into it and keep you guys updated!

And that resurfacing ain't gonna happen. the Indy Region of the SCCA piad to have parts of the resurfacing done in the turns, but they didn't smooth out the rough parts. The track is owned by the NHRA, and they don't really care about the road course.

they only care about the oval (nascar and silver crown ) to keep there doors open by paying the bills and the drags to make the big bucks. but every time I go and you get to drive on the road course I love to open her up, lots of fun
