Arrow Who Else has done this?

So Im driving back home today after running some errands. Well I turn down the street which I live on which is still a sheet of ice. Anyways a damn deer crosses the road right in front of me while im going down this steep ass hill. So I ended up spinning the RL I kept it out of the ditch but man was it a little hair raising! This will be the first winter that Ive driven my RL. Are these cars on stock tires really this bad in the snow? Ive got snow tires coming but they wont be in till next week and its snowing now! Im just pissed off cause I havent spun a car in ages, except on the racetrack bu that a different story

I think the stock tires are about as bad as you can get on snow... just check some of the tire websites. The list the snow rating as N/A....

Jesus, his insurance company ain't gonna be liking him. I wonder if he was on the stock Dunlops then? If that's the case, that's proof right there not to use these tires in the snow.

Yes he was, I relieved him from work and told him I couldn't do over 20 and he said he was carefull but with the snow just falling and ice under it it was unavoidable he said. It was pretty much get hit or tag a concrete median.

Hmm

Sorry to see that, my car drives so much better than average cars in snow. You just have to keep the RPM's down to 2G's, more than that you will have wheel spin just because of the SC. So anyone driving a redline MUST GET RID OF THE LEAD FOOT FOR WINTER! Or pay the price.

we just got like 3 or 4 inches the other day and i live at the bottom of this shallow hill. i got the car into first and just using the idle rpms (800 or so) was still slipping on the hill... I do have the balding dunlops though.
