can you believe that mamma's c/c was stolen last night and the people allready spent 2,700 before we could shut it off. they live in our town we found out. time for a meet and an old fasion stoneing.lol

Dude...that sucks. Was it a credit card or a check card? I had my PayPal account hacked once and they took about $500. It was refunded pretty quickly though. CC company's are pretty good about this stuff now.

So, you need a posse to go get these suckas?

i've noticed they've become RIDICULOUSLY good at it... like really really quick and painless.

but who ends up paying for it? that's what i'm curious about.... i know they catch some of the people, but if you just go on on a couple grand spending spree in a town far away from you, that money is then just 'lost'?

I think some of it is from Insurance that the CC companies carry for fruad stuff. That and probably when they do catch the guys, hopefully they make them pay back more than what they actually spent on the card!
