Friday night meet -- Auto X (Sunday)

There's a meet (good number of Cobalt SSs, me rep. the RLs so far), Friday night, Panera bread parking lot, right off the the Turnpike, in Monroeville. 7 pm or later.

Sunday, the 21st, AutoX event in North Park. Registration opens @ 8:30. Same crew will be there from last time.

Autox-ing again? Muhahah... it's addictive huh? I'm racing Saturday on the new Falkens, new Stillens, and I MIGHT have HP Tuners on Friday night...

Good luck!

I'm going to be running some lower than normal tire pressures out there Saturday. Just to experiment.

Yes... but I drove home on the Dunlops from the drag strip with 22psi in my front tires and they were solid as a rock on turns! I'm thinking with the concrete side walls of the 615's, I can run less pressure, get more traction, and not loose any grip in the corners. Right now, I'm running almost 12 psi less than my race pressure, and the car feels rock solid...

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I'll air back up and keep going, but some of the old timers told me to experiement. They said they used to run these Yokohama's at like 48psi, for years. Then, some of them went out with a pyrometer and did some honest testing, and found that the tire had the best grip, and fastest times closer to 28 psi.

Hrm interesting, let us know how it fairs and what you find to be the best PSI for these things

It is addicting. And I've discovered Pittsburgh has a large number of LSJs that like to meet up. Never would've thunk it. Good crew here, though they mostly hang out on the board-we-cannot-name

I ran 42 front, 40 back. Took A LOT to break em loose. I could've pushed it harder.

I'll try slightly lower next time, cause at that PSI, wheel spin was nuts.
