Tint in PA...

I know there are quite a few of you guys out in the eastern part of PA... anyone have tint on their RL? I'm having trouble finding exactly how much tint is allowed by law in PA (I have a feeling its nothing on the front). Anyone got any idea?

PA Law states you are not allowed to tint the front windows of your car any percentage. However.. I say f**k that. I have 20% all around.

Have you had any problems with cops or even gotten any looks from them? I was thinking of going with 30% or so. I'd like to do 15 or 20% but have a feeling I'd get stopped for it.

I got stopped once in a township where the cops have nothing better to do than stop people for tint. Fortunatly, my fiance knew the cop from a previous encounter and he let me go. (She knew him because he failed to stop at a light one time and ended up ramming her cavalier).

Minimum tint percentage allowed on the front windows is 35%. 20% is illegal, but I suppose only if you get stopped by the police or have a zealous state inspection tech.

I need to get my new car tinted ASAP, but the prices here are totally ridiculous. If you guys know of anyone who tints (well done) at their house or shop, please let me know. Paying $250-300 for tint is insane, after living in Texas and getting a reg cab truck done for $50-60 and a coupe done for $100.

The few places that Ive asked around here in Pittsburgh are about $180-$200 (not cheap, but better than 250-300) for the RL. So Jim, you are saying that you are allowed 35% on the front in PA? Is there a limit for the back?

20% is the limit on the rear, but you have to take into account those vehicles (not the RL) that have their rear and rear quarter windows tinted from the factory.

$200 or under is acceptable, considering I'd have to take a week off, make a made dash home to TX, and get back in a hurry to save $100...
