btw what's your real name, so when I ask for Ed and say someone referred me I'm not like 'that guy on the redline forums!'

My RL was a year old, 7,000 miles. Paid a little under blue book value for it.

If I get a RL that'd be pretty sweet to head to the 'ville and show those guys there a thing or 2, as per the fact they probably have the typical "Saturn reaction" especially when they get destroyed by 2 of 'em :-D
You'll learn to love the "crap Saturn" look then the "oh crap, got beat by a Saturn" look.

Where do you work downtown out of curiousity?
I work in PPG Place (the scary, nightmarish Oz-building) with a PR firm.

But Rt 51 is a 'safe' place to speed? I just moved to the southside area so I haven't found the safe places yet, I haven't seen any cops on the few times I've driven it, so I'm startin to get the feel for it.
I've been driving 51 for 6 years now. Got pulled over when I was 17. Since then, I've learned where the cops always sit. Same cops, too. I know the safe spots to race. The Liberty tubes are awesome, btw. I've hit 130 in them. And the sound!

Parts close to downtown on 51 are safe. Once you get into the burbs, no way. Then 51 heads out into the country, toward Uniontown. Gots to be careful there.

Where are you in the s.s.?

Parkway East has been my thing so far, and Monroeville cops leave you alone 99.999% of the time, and even if they do pull you over, if you have Monroeville on your license they normally let you slide.
The parkways, and the Mon Valley Expressway are great

I live literally like a hop a skip and a jump away from the liberty tubes/bridge now. I can put my car in neutral and get there lol. I might have to take you up on that offer if I get the feeling I'll freak out a salesman if I push it, I just want to SEE what the thing is capable of.
Depends on the salesmen. The one I bought it from didn't care. Most do.

If you wanna meet up, let me know. My weekend's open. Just before the snow falls (and best time to get a new car, too, since they wanna get rid of the 05s).

And I'm Jon. Ed proally won't know me, but I know him Another fellow sold me the car, and has moved on since then.

And, btw, don't mention redlineforums. They might prowl, and void someone's warranty if they see race stories

Yea not that stupid heh, that'd sorta suck, though I do question if some of the dealers around there are even smart enough to be able to USE the internet lol.

oh and I live right up off 18th st and Arlington. Where Mt Oliver, Mt Washington and Southside slopes all combine. It's not the best place in the world, but I'm looking for another, one with a garage (number one concern if I do decide to get a brand new car before winter, noway am I parking it outside, not after my car has already gotten keyed)

I live up on mt washington and work in oakland. I drive a black RL.

I think there are actually two Ed's at Saturn of PH. I got mine from one, Ed Steave i think, and jon got his from the other. When i took one for a test drive there, He told me to get on it and have fun. So i obliged. They took me on some nice windy roads too.

Jon and I met up a couple weekends ago and went and drove around like assholes for an hour or so. good times. That newer toll road, 43, is wide open and easy to run it up to 130 at times.

Mine was also a similar deal to jon's. '04 with 2k miles for $14,500. no sunroof or xm.

Yeah, I'm going to be looking for a place to live some time here soon. (Pref. after I get a CAI, new exhaust, and a boost gauge ). Maybe South Side, Mt. Wash, Oakland, or Shadyside. I've driven my car enough around downtown that I got over the door-ding fears. Plus we're plastic, anyway.

Whenever ya'd like a ride, or take an RL for a quick spin, lemme know. I don't mind trying to help Saturn make a sale Need more people to head to events, organized or otherwise, around here

not even door dings as much as like rust, paint job, keying, etc hehe, but yea I understand what you're saying.

also trying to find a decent deal on a RL might be a pain, I don't even know if i can FIND a competition package one (went to Monroeville past closing, 2 non comp 06's so much different than the last time I was there). I wanna see what the LSD will do, but nonetheless I'm going to try to visit the PH one and see if they'll let me drive it a little hard. If they don't I might have to hit you up to see what the thing is capable of .

Oh and if you happen to see one for sale int he area with a comp package DEFINITELY let me know. It's one of those things I think I'd regret not having when the stage upgrades come.

I probably won't miss an LSD it until I start autocrossing next spring

I'll keep my eyes open, but your best bet is to just keep calling.

Check your PMs.

I hate the wing...I can't see shit out of the back because I'm so damn short...and it fucks with the radar detector...and it hurts my hands when I have to push it in the walmart parking lot when the starter explodes and destroys teh flywheel after the clutch jumped over the moon.
