Heh, they were just trying to rip you off. It's sad how many buisness' try to rip people off in the automotive industry. Just put the tire on the rear and it will just follow along like a train without the stress of turning and spinning...

Soup, are you in for tomorrow? I need another ball player on the RL team 'cause these mopar guys are gonna gang up on me. We're all on the USA 4 banger front drive team though We can go fry all the rice there.

Ok, I'm about ready to head out. Looks pretty cloudy out there, but it's still dry (knock on wood). Hopefully I'll see you guys there, and I hope I'm not the only RedLine out there!

Angry Just got back...too f'n crowded...only 3 passes!

Well, I got lost on the way 'cause I couldn't remember where the track was, but I finally saw a truck pulling a Haulmark trailer, so I followed and they lead me straight to the track. Got there at about 12:45, got all paid and signed in and was waiting in line by 1:00, moved right up to the front of the line, then they shut it down right before I got to run and moved to a different line. Didn't get my 1st run 'til after 2 1st run I went around the water and didn't do a burnout, lost traction in 1st, then spun 2nd (think the track was wet from the guy in front of me.), and then I mis-shifted into 3rd gear ran a 15.60

2nd run (more than an hour later), I decided to get in the other lane, and I did a nice 1st to 2nd gear burnout and got the tires nice and sticky. Launched it pretty good this time, BUT, when I went to hit 2nd, it didn't go into gear Had to stomp the clutch 3 times to get into 2nd, I guess I tried to shift too fast IDK. Ran a 16.43

Last run I was pissed 'cause they were shutting down already and it was my last chance. Got a good launch, finally hit all my shifts and ran a 14.87 Hey I was happy to at least break into the 14s!

I think I wanna try and do better next weekend, maybe get down under 14.5 if I can just shift the damn gears right! I think I wanna go to a different track though. I talked to plenty of cool peeps there though. I met Chris (DrKbOOsT), but he said Brett already left by the time I saw him...Some other guys there were telling me about 2 fast Black RLs that run there, one with open exhaust and lots of mods running 13s, don't think it's anyone here though.

There were some sweet rides there though. A couple GTO's (new) a ford GT, and a couple Z06 Vettes. One of the Z06's blew up and there was parts and schrapnel all over the track!

Sorry I missed you Watts, I hung out with Chris for a while and had some stuff to do around here so I headed out. It was a pretty good turn out, next time get there earlier. There was not too many people there for the fist hour or so. I pussed out and did not run. By the time I figured I would the lines were pretty long so I figued I would just wait till next time. I did see Chris have a good run though, I think it was like 13.8.

Yeah, every run I saw him make was in the 13s, pretty damn consistant for a front drive 5 speed car...I was all over the place with my times, but at least I didn't get any wheel hop or torque steer at all.

Thanks man! I wish I was that damn consistant though. I think you might have mixed me and the other black one that was runnin 13's also. Cause I did a bit of bouncing around with mine. Fastest was 13.8 though. Which is my best time in the car so far. I was hoping for a tenth or 2 lower but hey I'll take it. I was just lookin at my slips and noticed the humidity....... So yeah where is that cold dry air when I need it???lol. Was a fun time though and nice hangin out with you guys. We'll have to definitely do it again sometime soon!
