I know this isn;t to me, but I htought I'd chime in anyways because I'm really into photography.

I own a Konica Minolta Maxxum 5. I love the feel and functions of the minoltas best. I am looking for a 5D soon (digital), but in all reality, the 35mm has the capibility do make much better pictures. The problem comes in digitizing them because in all reality, photos in this day are of no use unless there on the computer. That is the only reason I am looking for a digital SLR. You can't beat the convineience.

I still shoot mostly 35...I'm a Nikon man. I do use some digi as well, both Fuji and Nikon. I have a 120 that I never get to use.

I used to shoot on press pass at Kaufman Stadium in KC covering the Royals. (no, I'm not a fan! It did how ever let me shoot sports which I love and also meet/shoot the teams I do love...go Yankees and White Sox!)

I use a Pentax ZX-M. Completely manual, your right about picture quality being better with film. But your right about the photos being useless unless its on a pc. Im looking at getting the new digital Pentax just so I can use all my lenses. Found this new program called Aperture. Looks really nice but it only runs on Apples .

The reason Im getting a 5d is so I can use my lens collection with it. I have an old olympus OM-10 that's fully manual that I use form time to time. For some reason that thing takes the most beautiful pictures.

Good choice going w/ something that you can use your old lenses on. No sense throwing it all away. That is probably the main reason I stayed with Nikon all these years. Canon is good as well...but I started with my FM and went from there.

I think sometimes people over buy on digi's though. If you want it for bday parties, fun pics, bs pics, yadda yadda then I would get 3 or 4 megs. If you want to only print small pics and send them to family, ya know?

If you want to print nice 4x's on up, then you should look at 4meg on up.
