Talking All you bike riders....

Ok so im really wanting a bike...
I found this in the local classifieds:

1991 SUZUKI Katana 600 $1500 offer

I want something cheap but not to cheap, i want something i can lay down(cause i know i am) and walk away not being out 9K$
What do u guys think of this bike or basicly 90-93 katana 600's as good learning bike?

I have always liked the look of the katana's not supper into the early 90s bike but i need to start some where.

Your opinions are welcome.

Very good learning bike, it'll do exactly what you want. Give him 1000 or walk away providing the mileage isn't obscene, and it looks like it was taken decent care of, expect some very light road rash, but nothing more.

But yea 1000 take it or leave it, don't negotiate. 1500 can get you some newer bikes that aren't 15 years old and increasing possiblity of problems. Hell you can find a 250 that's half that age for that price :P.

if he says someone offered a 1000, say you can't go any higher than 1100, it's really not worth it.

that's my 2 cents

In this area i really cant find any bikes for less then 2000, rarly i see some of the katanas at 1500, but if i get the money for i think the 1k$ cash offer is a good idea, plus it probally needs new tires breaks ect... ya know

it WILL need work that's the reason why i say that, and i promise you can find a 250 under 2 grand within a 50 mile radius. Unless you live... i don't know where, even socal 250's sell for under that price ;p
