Good god. Was it north Ft. Lauderdale? What color is your RL? I saw one when I was down there a few weeks ago, i'm trying to see if it is someone here.

Edit: Duh, i'm a dumbass, you said downtown. Who in their right mind would do that?

Someone who's wife said they'd divorce them if they didn't get rid of that damn car. Collecting insurance is easier than putting it in the classifieds...

the only thing to worry about is some minor damage from things like someone scratching against it rosmething like that. and a car like that has such awe, you'd have to be a total dumbass to even get within a few inches of the thing. Only real thing is some dumbass driving, but even then, insurance would cover it.

You have to realize, that's like a rolls royce in the states, i'd be willign to bet that guy didn't even lock his door. You steal one of those things, uhhh you're not going to get far at ALL, the parts would be very easy to track and it's not exactly a car that blends in

My mom cleans houses and one of her customers is a realitor (sp?) and she told me one day that he bought a funny looking car and wanted to know what it was. I went over to look and it was that mercedes! I almost blew in my pants when I saw it. He said that he was the first to buy one in wisconsin, but he still wont let me drive it I try everytime I see him though

when you pay like 500 grand for a car, probably minor at least to him

i just think about all the completely TOTALLED ferraris' out there when driven by people's kids, i'd imagine those guys have to worry about that more than someone else doing damage to it

that and also remember probably one of the bigger rules for carjackers/thieves/etc, don't fuck with someone that has more power than you. And someone that can afford a 500,000 car, is guaranteed to have quite a bit of power, or at least access to the power, not someone to fuck with.
Compare that to the BRAND new 7 series I saw parked in downtown, between 2 dumpsters, unlocked, totally decked out, probably about 40 grand in aftermarket stuff I'd imagine from what I saw, but I guarantee the guy knew noone would mess with it, you'd have to be crazy to mess with it, and probably lose your life if you did.
