Question Brake rotors on '97 SC-2???Clutch changing???

I need to do my brakes on my '97 SC-2. I want to swap the rotors. Are the rotors pressed on or floating? I will be doing front & rear rotors. I have the 4 wheel disc brakes on this car. Also thinking of ceramic pads. Any pitfalls of using those on the street? This is my daily ride as well as my winter car. '06 RL coming in 1 or 2 weeks so I won't be driving the SC-2 everyday during the summer.

2nd question...The dreaded clutch. I have 100k miles on the car now and the clutch is grabby as well as drags so it is hard to find 1st or 2nd after backing up. It has a new upper and dogleg mount as well as the tranny mount. I have to let the clutch out with it in neutral then push it back in and then it goes in 1st or 2nd normal. I assume this is a worn clutch or a slave cylinder issue? What clutch should I buy for street driving and winter use? No racing with this car other than an occasional stoplight drag for a couple gears

Many thanks,

Mike

What do you man floating rotors? Isnt a floating rotor a 2-piece rotor? The s-series just uses a standard rotor. Remove the wheel, caliper, and then thr rotors. Seriously, those cars are simple to work on.

As far as a clutch, the Luk clutches from Auto Zone are fine if it's just going to be a driver.

Thumbs up

Floating as in not pressed on. I know some Suzuki cars needed a special puller to get the rotors off the hub. Floating meaning I can pull the wheel off, pull the caliper off and I could then just reach in the grab the rotor and that is it? No puller needed?

Tnx for the clutch idea. Nothing special with this car as long as the new clutch will last for another 100k miles. I am very good with clutch's and have made them go well over 100k miles with a good clutch that is...
