Can you legally sell yourself?

Completely random question, but can you legally selll yourself (or for that matter, someone else)? Or is there some catch somewhere about the inability to sell human beings. Obviously there would be an entire contract and whatnot written up for it, but with that in mind, does anyone know if you can?
