You Can Put It On The Boarrrrrrrd Yes!!!!

For those of you who are baseball fans, the interleague baseball matchups mean little in some cities. NOT HERE IN CHICAGO. Here you are either Cubs or Sox...and it is a serious thing.

The game yesterday kind of sums it up. =) Today we go for the sweep baby!!! Being from a city that did not have true sports fans I really appreciate the fans here in Cago.

(Let's see how quick Sp00n pulls this thread cough*cub fan*cough.....

AJ's a punk... My grandmother would have taken a swing at Barret after that. Bwahahahahahahahaha. I couldn't believe he straight out clubbed him like that!

Thank god I didn't see the game.... yikes...

You think anyone's gonna say "This series isn't any different than any other series..." now?

I do think people outside of the city will understand the rivalry better. It was the right play to make, good baseball. The catcher was blocking the freakin plate, you are taught from an early age that if the catcher is blocking the plate you take him out. It was Barretts choice to block the plate. If he didn't want to get hit he could've moved. Barrett hits like a typical purse swinging north sider....didn't hurt AJ.

That, a triple play, a grand slam.... all in one game, wow!

3rd times the charm... I love the cross town issues that go on in the CHI when it comes to sports.

AJ's a jackass. The next day he goes out an taunts big Z, I was hoping to see a 97 mph fastball at the head. Ask to get punched in the mouth, and you'll get punched in the mouth. Purse swinging northsider, bwahahaa, it was a 3" punch that literally moved his face to the other side of his head. Look at the pic in the sun times. Bruce Lee would have a hard time puching that hard with that short of a swing. Wait till they bring it back the the Friendly Confines.

What? He didn't taunt him... "Z" is a loon and was yelling crap at him before he even got to home plate. He's lucky AJ didn't come out there and beat his ass after touching home. I'd love to see that fruitball get punched in the neck.

Oh, I can't wait until they play at the beer garden. I'm thinking that a "friendly" wager may be needed?

Didn't taunt him? He looked right in from second base, said something, then he stepped on home plate and did Z's 'lil 'thing' pointing at the sky and such. He taunts everyone. There were Sox fans calling the radio shows saying they knew someone was gonna punch him one day. Perhaps your forget how the entire south side felt about him BEFORE he was on the Sox. I don't recall Sox fans liking him a whole lot when he was with the Twins...

I don't think we have to worry about AJ coming out and doing anything. We saw what happens when he takes a punch. He runs away like someone's lil sister.

The best part was Barret tying the game on a triple... I was waiting for the play at the plate on that one.

That is fair to say that us south siders couldn't stand him as a Twinkie. But bigger changes have been made and accepted (babe ruth, Wade Bogs, Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, etc)

AJ will continue to talk smack, he was after the game saying the punch didn't hurt and joked saying the ump's told him "at least you know you don't have a glass jaw", lol. Z is a basket case ready to go postal. The only bad thing is that he does better when pissed so I say leave him alone and keep dropping bombs off of his dumb ass.

Oh, if there was a play at the plate with barret the fans would've erupted in to a fight along with both benches. There probably wouldn't be enough players left to play after ejections.

Exactly. When he's not on your team, you all freely spoke of him as an instigating trouble maker. Just like the rest of MLB. Hence the reason why some national reporters say the same thing. He got what everyone knew was coming to him. Now, he's on your team, and all of a sudden he's innocent.

Umm... why is that? Would have been the same play from the day before... are you implying it's not fair for one, but fair for the other?
