Stop the Insanity!!!!!

Just got to vent a bit. Just read a newspaper article about how you shouldn't put your kids in flannel PJ's cause they burn faster than other materials. I don't doubt that they do, but this stuff is getting ridiculous. What next? Let's recommend children not wear black clothing either because it absorbs the sun's heat too well. It's been 15 years since my father bought a 5 gallon bucket on it with a 9" X 9" warning- "Beware, infant may fall in and drown." 2007 vehicles HAVE to by law have a weight sensor so the FEDERALLY mandated air bags DON'T go off if a small person is in the seat?!?!?!? The damn toggle wasn't enough? People need to take responsibility or get themselves knocked off. Quit being the lawyers cash-cows. In the UK, if you bring such a stupid case to court, they fine you for it and make you pay EVERYONE's Court costs. ONLY the people making money HERE don't want that to occur, and THEY are the one's in control. How much of the awarded amounts in these cases go to the CLIENTS anyway? 1%?

As citizens, the goverment only does what we allow them to. The problem is... maybe 1% of the entire population pays attention to what their representatives do. Sure, plety of people vote for the figurehead.... er... president, but how many actually know what Congress is up to? And how many of us have actually written to our representatives?

If a lot of people got off their asses and wrote something saying "Dear Congressman, I noticed that you've done nothing to reform Tort Law. Since it's affecting my medical and auto insurance premiums, I think it's time to vote in someone who will step up to bat" then we'd see change.

Congressman love campaign donations, but they like being reelected even more.

My buddies all bitch about Bush, and so on, not a single one of them voted. The only friend of mine that wants to vote is an illegal immigrant from Mexico. Pisses me off. I might not know everything that's going on, but I try and remember who voted for what when the elections come up. I'll even try and do research on 'em.

Oh, and the weight sensor, thats where they Recaros went for '07 too... Do the 'balts still get them for '07? Wop said it seemed like they would, but he had no idea how they got around the sensor issue.

only a temporary hijack, from what I remember Wop's thought was that because it's an option on the SS and not standard, that's the loophole that allowed them do it

This is why the human race has stop evolving. We put so many 'bubbles' around stupid people that they are garranteed to reproduce again and create more stupid people. We're doomed. If your stupid enough to put your infant in the front seat facing the windshield, you need to be slapped.

I was the youngest of three kids. I had to sit on the driveshaft hump of our 1979 Pontiac Firebird. Don't whine to me about airbags.
