Member sales rating?

Ive seen it on other forums. Kinda like the feedback rating on Ebay. Anyone else think we oughta have this? Kinda like the idea of having a rating system, but its more work for the mods...what do you all think...

It really doesn't serve much of a purpose unless only certain people can give it out. Otherwise friends can just boost each other. If only certain people can hand it out once someone gets so high they get some sort of priveledge.

Well yes that is who I was mainly talking about having the power, and maybe people like zfactor and WOP, sort of a way of saying "good job in handing out good info". Then once a member gets so high they get like a "privleged members lounge" or they get to hand out rep to other members or something. But they don't get any actual powers over the forums...lol

lol, yea...friends can bump up ratings on Ebay also...but most important is knowing whether or not they scammed somone or not. In my own experience, I have found the members to be pretty trustworthy. Others may not have had this and might want a rating system to warn others. dunno, what does every one else think?

The other forum that I am on uses this rating system, it works pretty well, cause you can only post a rating if you have bought something and there was a post about it, it keeps people from bumping friends.

I think its pretty pointless...we don't sell too much on here and those that do are typically well known on the forum.

yup, we're not getting random schmos coming in and buying/selling stuff. and if they are random, people are just as hesitant as ebay, etc.
