At some point wouldnt you or other people who get this scam, stop yourself and ask why they wouldnt just do it themselves. NOBODY sends money for free. NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING is ever free.

you deposit the check, wire the money, and everybody is happy for a day or two. then the travelers check comes back as fake, and your bank wants that $750 from you.

they usually pull this type of scam on lonely single elderly women who are desperate for some sort of attention, even if its from sombody they met online who needs a favor.

Maybe i am just a hartless basterd. If someone sells me that story, my imediate reply would be, sucks to be you.

ya well... i find people are generally dumber than you think.

and they usually meet these elderly single women online, on singles sites and whatnot, and spend a little time buttering them up before the spring the scam on them. some are just random emails from people they dont even know, and people still fall for it.

I got a random email like that from some person in the UK, said they wanted to deposit 1million into my bank account! I just laughed and hit the "spam" button...
