Have to rant WORK ISSUES(sorry its long)

Ok so yea I've been sick for the past I'd say 2 months. Kinda hard to pay attention to details but I try my hardest you know. Though some of these details I appearently missed were not totally my fault. Example frame circuit goes down the suprivisor who worked while it was down DID NOTHING and I had people asking me questions about it and I look like an idiot cause it was just dropped on me and then that suprivisor actually turns around and sends an email to the whole department saying "Please make sure if the Southplain field router goes down to open a ticket with VNI" I wanted to smack the hell out of him cause thats some *no cursing!* right there cause I bet he didnt get in any trouble but I get in trouble for "not paying attention to details" of course if I try and defend myself it looks like I'm just making excuses. So I let it go. Again being sick though for 4 saturdays in a row I was late for work maybe a half hour to an hour late. I called letting them know I'd be late because I'd be on the side of 295 throwin up and they would say ok. Well wouldn't you know I got in trouble for that to so I had to write up a plan of action for correcting myself or some stupid *no cursing!*. So I did submit it and everything have a meeting discuss and the boss says we'll have another meeting in a few weeks to see how your progressing I agree. Well I PTO'd a couple days to go to Florida to visit family and all which that vacation sucked the first 4 days due to me sleeping and my throat swollen up really bad and I couldn't swallow. Anyway my boss sends me a meeting request for the 21st when I'm in Florida. I decline and say "You have approved me for PTO on this day and I'll be in Florida." But being the guy I am send an email asking if he would like for me to call in and have a conference call with him, WHILE I'M ON VACATION. He replies and I can't believe this part, saying this is for when you are back.......I triple check everything, The days I'm off 18th - 25th and then check date of meeting.....21st........Ok Am I missing something? So I don't say anything back. I check my email today and theres another meeting request. I read the comments section, and this is the part that really just pushed me over the edge and is makin me as pissed as I am, This is the exact words he put I'll paste them

"Rob,

This is a mandatory meeting. You failed to respond or attend to the last request."

ARE YOU FUKIN SERIOUS?!?!!?!?!!!! Also I work tonight (6PM Wednesday 29th till 6AM Thursday 30th) GUESS WHEN MY MEETING IS SCHEDULED! Its scheduled for 3PM on Thursday the 30th! Well ain't I just the lucky guy!! I swear at this point I'm ready to just walk out I'm seriously still fuming over this you have no idea. Am I over reacting or do I have a reason to be as pissed as I am? This isn't the only thing got me pissed right now but this is mostly it. This is my career job, I make good money and like the people I work with but this is seriously some bull *no cursing!*. AHHHHHH rant over for now

Man that sucks but if you really need the job you dont want to do something stupid that could get you fired.Just do all your P&Qs to cover your ass get a doctor slip for your sickness.Let them make the mistakes and document everything. The main thing is just keep your cool and think before you do anything.Good luck.

sounds like a load of crap. make sure someone isn't trying to set you up for anything. and DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! i take notes of anything that may even be considered against me, so i don't go into a review empty handed. keep that in mind for the rest of your career, if this is really what you want to do for life.

you'll have to deal with this unless you start your own business, and even then you have to deal with stupid people, so until then, take notes, keep your cool, and get 'er done, and you'll be fine. hopefully they're not TOO pissed, because it sounds like they are. good luck tomorrow!

Yea so just got back from my meeting. Its official I swear I feel like I'm in 2nd grade. According to the manager I've been sleeping and its an inside joke.............hmmmm apple juice anyone.........I did say however that if I'm "sleeping" I don't know it. So there for I must be blacking out. I said to him no ones told me I have been sleeping, he replied that no one should need to tell me. Everyone knows that I have been really sick lately but instead of working as a team everyone seems to just point fingers. But if I'm blacking out then maybe its something I should have checked out. Ok so I just agree no one should have to tell me I am sleeping for the sake of not arguing with the boss cause I might of lost my cool and I don't need that to happen. He actually does however say if you have a sleep issue where your blacking out maybe you should get it checked out.........I'm thinkin to myself well gee now that I know cause I'm getting in trouble for it maybe I will...........I refrained from making any comments or anything for the sake of keeping my job cause according to him I am now on "thin ice". This reallly has me aggrivated cause it seems like all the good stuff I've done and helped with goes un noticed but this 2nd grade bullshit where they all gotta tattle on me has me close to finding another job where I hopefully won't have to deal with this shit.
