Twincharged VW coming... stock...

Was just reading in C&D that VW is planning on making a twincharged, 1.4L motor putting out 170ish hp.

That's in the new Car & Driver? I'm going to have to go pick that up . . . very interesting though. What car is it going to go in?

Twincharged, only 170HP? Why would they do that for such a small engine and little amount of power?

alot of power begining and end off the line supercharger top end turbo! but yea 170 hp sucks lol atleast 220 like audi's

Keep in mind that was pre-pre-preproduction numbers. Who knows what it will actually be. What's Psi-Fi's Mini, isn't that similar size and numbers??

Oh, and because it gets better gas mileage than their straight turbo cars.

And the car prolly weighs almost nothing, that 170hp would propel a car pretty good if it only weighed around 2000 or so. Look a the Lotus supercar...its like a V8 (maybe a V6) and it runs with Ferrari V10's and 12's.

I'm not sure about psi-fi's but there was another company that twin charged a mini. Check this link out. I can't find the exact numbers cuz the issue is at my mom's house but if you really want ill look the next time im there, i think it was around 300 @ low 20's psi
