Thinking of trading the Redline in for a Legacy GT

Talk me out of it......or into it?

Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com

Pro's
A true four door (I have a wife and two kids, and sometimes the wife is away in our Vue and I have to lug the kids around in the car, the rear doors are a pain in the ass sometimes, four doors would just be so much easier.

AWD- would imagine its better in the winter
Less "Boy Racer"
Nicer Interior -heated seats and all

Doesnt run like dog shit, like my redline, when its cold out (60 and below) for the first mile or so. Or atleast I assume it doesnt.

Insurance is 26 dollars a month cheaper. Go figure.

Cons
Its down on power compared with mine, although there are way more parts out there for it, and it already has the power adder ours should have had. I would imagine cobb stage one would make up most of that right off the bat.

No dent resistant doors. (although I have learned dent resistant doest mean the paint isnt going to need to be redone when someone slams your door and takes a layer of paint out.)

No Moonroof...

It really depends on what they give me for a trade in. Our cars have basically no resale value, but according to KBB, its got the same trade in value as the Legacy, so I might have a small barganing chip. I know what they probably bought it for, and I know what they will probably ask for mine. Figure I can come out of the deal only owing a few grand on the Legacy, wich isnt to bad. It is a more "upscale" car.

I really like the way the MazdaSpeed 6's look, but they are still $$$ more than I care to spend, hell most of the Subaru's are.....this one for this area, seems to be priced resonably.

Err, Ten grand more for things I can just bolt on the car later on if I felt the need...........the important ingrediants are already there.

Figure if I can get the car for 16500, then I would only have to finance the difference between what they would give me on a trade, and the cars price, plus tax/title etc....

spec b is way too expensive tho, especially the new ones. the cost the same or more then a sti and yet it doesnt have the same performance. i think the new spec b is like 250hp and the sti is 300. for the same price id go sti. plus the sti has more room to haul more shit from home depot

According to what I have found, the Legacy GT in 05 was 250HP. The SpecB was 250HP. Difference was in brakes and suspension from what I gather. Even the Subaru forums seem to say just get a GT and put the SPEC parts on yourself.....
