i love texas hold em, i played it tonight actually, we only had a few people and just did a 5.00 buy in and if you lost it you could buy back in ect.

i was up 17 and left with notta, i only lost 5 and played all nite so its cool, my woman won like 25$ lol 5 of it was mine, lol.

I used to do that...except I have lost COMPLETE faith in computers trying to make things seem random...I have learned quickly how stupidity rewards so many players online. I made about $200 from online poker in a years time, playing small stakes and jacking around. But I couldn't bring myself down to the level of stupidity that so many people on there play...I could never make it big in any tourney online either. I've finally cut my addiction from playing, so I don't really play online poker anymore. (I was playing Ultimate Bet, but they are all the same...)

Now I go to the casino every couple of weekends, and usually make $50-$100 in a sitting...people still play pretty gay there, but they don't win as much. My roommate at school has been going to the casino A LOT this month...he just made $500 in one sitting of a couple of hours last week...he went this past weekend, and I don't know how much he made or lost, but he's made over $1100 this month alone (Casino Windsor).

I'm a pretty serious poker player, but I'm not letting it take over my life...I can play it, and play it good when I do play. My roommate is a lot more serious about it than I am. He's most likely going to be one of those people you see on TV that dropped out of school and play poker for a living as soon as he turns 21 in the upcoming year.

Finally this thread started a topic on a game that I do play

I haven't played for any real money yet as I'm off of work living on 60% of my usual pay. I just play Absolute Poker for fun. I always do tournament hold 'em because I find it the most fun. As soon as I can get back to work and pay off the debt that I've been accumulating over the last month, I'll try my luck at the casino. You're right about the level of stupidity that people play no limit with, it pisses me off.

We have poker night on Saturdays at a friend's house. We ususally do tournament style N/L Hold 'Em with a 20$ buy in. Just a friendly game.

Depends on a lot of things: blinds, stacks size, number of players, how stupid everyone else is playing.
