GM AutoShowInMotion

Has anyone been to one of these. GM provides 150 cars, trucks, and suvs. You show up and drive whatever you want for free. They even feed you lunch.
This year, aug 18, will be my third one. Last year I drove the RL for the first time and decided I had to buy one. They had the vett and ctsv. Those alond with the hummer you have to have an "instructor" shotgun, but all other vehicles are fair game. They were telling everyone in the GTO to rev it to 3000 and dump it off the line. But when i leave the RL in first and spin the wheel around every corner they want to throw me out.
Mind you all tracks are 40 mph max, except for the vette and ctsv where you never get out of second. Which is still between 70 and 80 mph.
All in all it is a fun way to spend the day, and its free. I can't remember the web site, but a quick search will produce a web site.
Everyone should check this out!

Yeah I went to the one here a couple months ago. I had alot of fun and got to drive tons of cars as the lines were'nt all that bad early in the day. I wish the courses were a little longer and perhaps a bit more challenging. But other than that it was cool, got to push an SS and an RL for a couple runs.

They were supposed to have the SS at the one here in Denver, but nope!! The CTS-V was by far the best to drive, the GOAT sucked balls (funny, you'd expect a car that has that much technology to handle better than the originial!!), the vette, was well, a vette. The H2 SUT sucked as well, my '83 K5 Blazer 4-Wheels better than that.......The SSR fricken' rocked, and they didn't care I was squeeling tires around every corner!!

Shit when we reached the end of tour we piled into a 3 series and ripped the course apart. Drifting and running over cones, fun as hell. Everytime we changed drivers the guy at the beginning of the course would tell us to take it easy. Sure buddy, lol. Skkkrreechhhhh! Good times, I'll deff be there next year.

Well squealing tires got me a big black mark accross my wristband. The marker smear also came with the threat of "one more and your outta here".
I am hoping they will have the SS there. I think they will. Last year they had 3 rl's. Of the cars I drove last year I have to say the rl must of been my favorite.... I bought one 4 months later!
Anyway, I am going tomorrow morning. Pomona Fairplex, Southern California.
