New people can't post?

I was wondering if any of the staff here could elaborate. I have a friend that's registered here and cannot post. He's contacted someone from the site (I forget who). And they said they you guys aren't accepting any new posting members at this time? Is this true or what? Kinda seems retarded for a blossoming site but whatever. Just wondering if any of you guys can shed some light onto the subject.

Because of trolls we have implemented an "approval" process where all new users accounts have to be manually approved. This can add a delay, its something we'll have to live with for now.

Not true at all, what's his name? I just had to get someone else manually verified yesterday.

So you have two approval processes or one? I dunno his e-mail off hand but will try and post it later on. I was just curious cause I hadn't heard of anyone having that issue till he mentioned it yesterday. About how long does it take for the moderator to approve new accounts? I think that he said he registered a little over week or so ago. Just curious, thanks.

Oh, and should you guys need another moderator to help handle the work load I'm always available. I've been a moderator and administrator for another car site for more than 5 years before stepping down. And I'm usually on here reading/posting much of the day. Just offering help should you guys need it.

Good in my opinion. If I were on the approval board there would be a lot less spam on here. Thanks Ekool for clearing up this as well.

No, he's just saying that there needs to be an email verification once the account is open. So you get an email, respond to it, and it starts your account.
