Don't think I let that slip by without noticing. FFR stuff does look really nice and it seems to perform pretty well too.

Shelby AC Cobra is one of my all-time favorite cars so the MK4 would be my first choice but If I had the scratch, I'd build one of each kit

It's a Windsor, but I scored this motor reasonable and wanted to start with a 351 to begin with..only because I want a 427 in it. That may change as things come down to the wire and, knowing me, I might sell the 351w.

I would -really- like to have a SOHC 427... dropping a cammer into a 2400lb car seems to be a good idea..just $$

Superformance Cobras used to have 460's bored to 502, IIRC.

IIRC the last price listing I saw for a SOHC 427 (all new) was just shy of $21k to my door for what I'd want..

The 351w with what I have for it should still be capable of over 550hp.. way more than I really need.

Sure, but be careful what week you choose. Normally my life is fairly boring.. just a few weeks a year it's full of really fun awesome stuff.

Those are the events I -know- I'm attending this upcoming year, but I'm sure there will be some thrown in there that were less than planned. I might try to swing up to the Chicago auto show again and attend a track day or two throughout the year.

I'm so boring I've been looking at econoline vans here lately........ Mainly so I can set the rear of it up into a rolling bike carrier with tools and dry, secured, storage, but still a van!
