It is well worth a week of my time working the auction. It's also cool some of the people you get to meet. The 917 was an amazing car to say the least.

Meh.. I wanted something that was decently quick, comfortable, decent gas mileage, and looked good that wasn't full of crap plastic.

So now I'm trying to sell it so I can build a retarded daily with no comfort features....

I am glad I am over my Mercedes stage. AMG= outstanding performance, matched by outstandingly outrageous cost of repair.

The work isn't hard to do on them, but buying the parts themselves are not cheap. This has actually been one of the easier vehicles I've owned to work on.

Picked myself up a "cheap" project yesterday to fiddle around with over the winter. A 1971 SOHC Honda CB750. This was a barn find and in decent shape considering it hasn't been ran since the late 80's.. already started teardown and will have it to bare frame today so I can start stripping the frame down to bare metal for cutting/welding/further stripping/powdercoating.

I'll have to get some up shortly. I have the bike stripped all the way down to bare frame and I'm getting ready to remove some of the ear mounts that I no longer need on the frame. This will take awhile..I'll build it all through winter and into next year, but it's going to be a bit off the wall..even for me.
