Zomg blizzard

So apparently winter storm Euclid (when did they start naming winter storms?!) has spread blizzard like conditions over my entire area. Not that I care.. working for utilities means I just dress warmer and go face that shit head on.

Thus far it's been a pretty piss poor blizzard. I hope everyone had a great day yesterday with their families!

It's only Weather Channel that names the winter storms...marketing ploy.

I've always said it's not the weather that's the problem, it's the people in it. Be safe.

We are getting hit with Euclid tonight. Could be 3" to 15". Probably in the 8 to 12 range at my house. I'll see in the morning when I get up.

Well we finished up our work orders early (they canceled new connects) and got sent home two hours earlier than usual. The roads really aren't in that bad of condition, but like Drox said.. the other idiots on the road are what makes it dangerous. I saw multitudes of slideoffs, several people sliding through intersections on red, and just being general idiots.

its one of the biggest reason i parked my rl in the garage for winter, even here with snow tires on all vehicules (it's now a law) some drivers wait to te last moment to put the brakes and start to slide and by thinking well i thnk it's more dangerous cuz it's giving a false "emotion" of security and they tink they are invicible

Yessir. My SLK won't even make it out of my driveway.. I was looking at Snowsports for it, but I'm usually driving my utility truck in this weather. I already know I'm going to be working weekends for the next week or two due to this crap, plus we're behind due to the holiday (which they never account for)

My best choice would be to stud the tires on one of the motorcycles!

you can have some of the snow we got today. it took me 35 minutes to make a 10 minute drive because of the morons today. you'd think people would have figured this whole driving in snow thing out a while ago.
