New Bike

Finally the moment i've been waiting for came to me last night while picking up my new motorcycle. 1993 Katana 750. Big bike, but older so not as fast as newer 750s. Still freaking FLYS though. I love it so far. Spent 3 hours today riding up and down my neighborhood not breaking 30 mph. I'm just posting to let the family know and see if you guys have any tips. I'm not going to be stupid, meaning no wheelies, no endos, no 100+ on highways, ill save that for the track next year. Now I can finally start dumping money into teh Redline.

Good choice of a starter bike if it's your first bike..Katana's aren't the fastest things in the world..in the newer 600's (the type R's) have more HP than some of the older 1000's..so I generally try to steer people away from them as first bikes. Do be careful and just make sure to start off easy..sometimes it's amazing at how fast these things truely can be.

Replace the tires if they're old. Lots of bikes just sit and the rubber gets hard.

Cograts on your bike, keep the shiny side up, okay?? I don't think this forum does obituaries.
