Raced a C6 (Corvette) on the highway and beat it....

was in the Talon, tho.

Was next to the guy on a closed portion of a test track... couldnt get him interested to go... I think he thought it wouldnt be a challenge.

The Talon is a 95, and the paint is faded and oxidized, and there is a good portion of the bumper missing to make room for the giant FMIC.. so by looking at it, you'd never expect it to run good.

Finally after annoying him enough, the lanes cleared in front of us and we both got on it. I think he got a "slight" jump on me, but my car was about 2 feet ahead of his regardless, so it was a pretty even start.

I was at about 5000 RPM in 2nd gear when I punched it and I could hear him gun it as well, the stock exhaust on those things sound pretty damn good.

By the top of 3rd gear, I had pulled about a car and a half on him and had to shut down because we were coming up on traffic.

All in all, it was a good race. I was on pump gas, running 1.54kg/cm2.

My only curiosity is, what goes the mind of the corvette owner at this point?

I'd be calling up an aftermarket company and demanding some parts.

If I was the owner of the Corvette I would make sure nobody ever found out about this! It would still be bad if a red line beat him, but especially an Eagle Talon!

It's nice to have another srt-4 owner join the forums just so he can tell us how slow our car is.

I thought that you "love the redline." Are redline owners joining the srt-4 forums to tell them how much less we spent on our cars than you guys did? Could be, but show me the posts.

don't get your panties in a knot man i was just messin around. I do like the redline, just given him a hard time. He said it like "OMG an Eagle Talon!!" when most people know that there are a plethora of 12 & 11 second talons.. Anyways, not tryin to be a dick at all or a "my car is..." person so plz dont take it that way.. Cheers.

Good to know. Not that I really care. But do you know how many srt-4 guys come over just to tell us how we'll never be as fast as them? Annoying. Not the end of the world, but not very useful either. Besides, I think a good deal of us drove the srt-4 and considered it. A lot of us almost bought them so it's not like we don't know about them already anyway.

The talon can be a really fast car. you just don't see that many of them anymore, at least not here in Vegas. I did see a nice pimped out stretch navigator limo the other day. race that.
