Props to Pittsburgh City Cops -- I got caught

Major props to the Pittsburgh City Cops...I've been reamed out by these guys a few times, but they're pretty damn cool--esp. considering what they deal w/ on a daily basis.

Like me.

Anyway, I have a good driving record last 5 or 6 years. No tix. Was telling my girlfriend a few days ago I was about due for a ticket.

I would've deserved this one.

Made it about .5 mile out of the parking garage, heading on a two-lane, one way street. Engine's warmed, roads are dry, it's like 15 degrees. Time to test the boost. Need to unwind.

Oh, yeah, speed limit's 25.

So, I get near the top of 2nd gear (oops), and shut down. Humming, whatever...enjoying the ride.

Flashing lights..

F**k.

Three sets of flashing lights.

F**ckiddy-f**k-f**k.

So, yeah, I'd more than doubled the speed limit, for only a few seconds. Enough to have, I guess, gone past some cops.

Pull to the side in a "quasi" bad neighborhood. The crowd starts, people coming out. Lookit the moron in the blue Saturn.

One cop at my right window, one to the left. I roll down my window and hand over my info.

Cop's looking at me, BIG dude. "What the hell was your hurry?"

"No hurry sir."

"Could've fooled me. I could hear your damn engine, even if I didn't see you. And I did see you."

Shines light on my supercharged badges.

F**k. F**cking short ram! F**cking lead foot!

"Sorry, sir."

"Yeah, be right back."

The other cops, I guess, don't figure me to be an issue. So I wait, they wait. I'm thinking about the overtime check I'm getting and was putting toward a Stage II, gone. Oh well, I deserved it.

Wait, wait, wait. People still staring.

Cop comes back, hands me my info, but no yellow slip. Hell, proally could've impounded me.

"Son, it's the holidays. Just slow the hell down."

"Yessir. Thanks, sir."

"Nice car, too."

Me:

And we go on our merry way.

Wow. I got lucky. *wipes sweat*

Did I learn my lesson? Sure. Now where's my stage II?

Yeah, he did. Nice guy, obviously. That would've been my license, gone, but I doubt a city cop had vascar set up.

Just me being an ass at the wrong place, wrong time.

Yeah...I was thinking it was pretty funny. Yeah, I was being an ass for a few seconds, and meanwhile, there's a driveway to my right w/ a Mercedes S430, huge rims in it, and the house probably worth about $30,000.

if i was the cops i'd be pulling you over in that area with 2 other patrol cars as well heh, they probably thought you were fleeing the scene or something originally.

Yeah, there's nothing like that feeling you get when first see those lights in your mirror, your heart kinda jumps. "Ohhh shit! But what's worse is when they just follow you for about 2 or 3 miles.
