Need opinions, please

I have a couple of questions for you guys. First off, I have a 2001 saturn SC2
with a 5sp, and just under 70k miles on the odometer. I was going to trade the car in for a 06 CSS s/c, but since I already have a 05 Redline I decided that I dont want 2 outrageous carpayments. That being said, I am going to put some money in to the SC2.

My first question is, Since I have 70k miles would it be a good idea to rebuild the motor before I add new cams, turbo, etc.?

the second is, what would be the best turbo system, and cam set I can get and where would I get them?

you're better off trying turbosaturns.net or saturnfans for that...

Plus I think to add a turbo you'd have to beef up those internals anyhow. A turbo saturn sc2 should run low 14's...I don't think the stock internals can handle that on those cars.

I went a checked the turbosaturn.net forums and they said the stock internals would handle up to 10lbs of boost as long as the motor was not tired and had good compression. 70K miles is not alot, but I'm still going to check the compression and leakdown to make sure that it will hold. Plus, I was reading that with about 6-8 psi on a T3 turbo, FMIC, and some tuning I should be right around the same HP/TQ as a stock Redline, which is all I really want for the moment.

Too bad PSI really doesn't mean much. Go by power numbers.
10 PSI in a T3 turbo is way different than say a GT47R turbo.

So, My usggestion would be go conservative with the boost. Or Better yet, do it right the first time and build the internals.
