RSM pricing B.S.

well i was going to order my clutch from RSM.... until i recieved an email from them, let me preface this by saying that on their website, they advertise the cobalt/redline clutches for $450:

Quote:
Hello,
Yea we would interested in a group by. We would need minimum of 10 sets in order for the discount to work. The current price on the clutch kit is $619.00(US) We haven't up dated our web site yet. The group price with minimum 10 set would be $525.00(US) If you have any questions let us know.
i contacted them about a group buy while i thought the price was still $450. so if you're looking to buy a clutch, go get a SPEC clutch, cause they're cheaper. still pisses me off though cause i thought i was going to save $150 that i could put towards a flywheel, and then they try to sell it for a higher price after you're interested.

shady to say the least. Any company that misadvertises its price should always honor the deal. It's called responsibility. If you make a mistake, deal with it.

I was planning on getting their clutch when mine goes, i guess not now. I'm sick of dealing with shady companies.

"you made your bed now you gotta sleep in it." I think he means that they screwed up and should give you the advertised price.

i'm sure they do alot of good business, but this was sort of a big issue. a $170 price quote error is alot of money.
