Pontiac Solstice

Has anyone had a chance to ride in a new Solstice? A family member of mine won one and gets it soon.

It isn't the GXP but I bet it can still beat up a lot of hondas.

First of all...your family member is a lucky sob. I would love to have one of those, they're just so damn impractical for a college student like myself.

Second of all...they're pretty fun. They may not be OH MY GOD fast, but they are easily tossable, and I'm sure would do some pretty incredible donuts if asked. I never got that opportunity, so I can't say for sure. However, the car was built for somebody no bigger than me (6'1", 200lbs). The car fit me like a really tight glove, and I don't think I'd want to drive it for extended periods with the top up.

Third...I'm frequently in Toledo, I co-op at Dana (the next time I'll be there is July-December). Is it just me or is there a severe lack of Redlines in the Toledo area?

Yea, I agree that there is a huge lack of redlines in this area. I don't think I have seen one for sure around here yet (In the year I have had my own). It just makes mine feel that much more special!

I am going to be able to drive the solstice around sometimes (to and from work in downtown toledo) but i am 6'2. I hope it feels comfortable still.
Thats cool your at Dana. Some of my friends used to coop there.

Well it is good to hear that there is an '06 Redline that I know of now in the area. I'll keep my eyes open for you on the road.
