Also, the downpipe and cat. Some explaination please, is it two pieces? The cat attached to the header, and the adapter/downpipe connecting to the exhaust in either 2.5" or 3"? That's what I'm understanding right now, and I've had a few questions on it. I'll keep editing this last post here to reflect the list as it grows and changes.

You guys want real names or do you want nicks? I'll change it later if you need real names. I'm sure you will at some point.

Here is an update on the TOG header from *************

i'll preface this by saying jon is getting smoothered with calls and emails, and it's actually slowing them down so please guys lighten up on contacting them a bit so they can get all the work done.

here's what's happening:

they have the R&D header completed. it will be an estimated 4-6 weeks before they get a production header in their hands for testing. then they will be coating the header. after that they will be running a dyno on the test car. they will install the header, run the car for a few hundred miles so the computer adjusts properly, then re-dyno the car to get the numbers. so it's a few weeks out, but this wait will be well worth it.

the specs he has so far:

the pipes will be 1 3/4" going into a 3" collector. it will also have a 1/2" exhaust flange (which is pretty damn big compared to others ) and it will NOT be a 4-2-1, there is not enough room. IT IS GOING TO USE THE STOCK MANIFOLD GASKET... YAY he is looking at the output side of the hi-flow cat being in optional sizes ie: 2 3/4 or 3inch he said that the piping on the factory manifold to the cat is a weird metric size....

so that's the info he has at the moment, so spread it around and let everyone know there will be no more updates for atleast 4 weeks.

Guys, you will love this product. I don't own a RL (yet...) but TOG has been VERY active in the Grand Prix market from the beginning. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Grand Prix, the GTP model (up until 2005) has a 3.8L Supercharged V6. In our market, the TOG headers are second to none. We have other, cheaper, header options but for quality, performance, and overall value you just cannot touch TOGs.

I do not work for them, I am just another customer. But any of you that have questions about the quality of these headers can rest asured that Jon over at TOG will not release a product that he doesn't believe is the best in the market. I have a set of TOGs on my car and wouldn't swap them for anything else if you paid me.

I have seen their Grand-prix. Very trick. Still haven't seen a proto for the rl header, but reputation speaks for itself.

They had headers on thirteen cars at the last SEMA show... in my opinion that means alot.

Did Jon tell you what that car ran? He ran a 12.7 at Palmdale in 100+ degree heat without a custom tune on it. He's trying to dip it into the 11's at Palmdale w/o N2O! Car is wicked. So yea, to tie this into the topic, Jon know's what he's doing when it comes to these headers and what racers need.

PS, you know if you're local, check out www.scacgp.com. I'm sure all you Redline guys would be more than welcome to join us in some of our get togethers. The more the merrier.

I'm interested too, but want to make sure that the performance is there. I would like a full 3 inch, but I don't want it to hurt my performance either if I don't ultimately go higher than 300 hp. Haven't some people seen losses at 3 inches? Either way, I would like the headers and the downpipe.
