Carsponsorships.com does it sound legit

Hey guys I entered in this contest for a carsponsorship and won. After I read through the instructions it started to sound bogus. Can anyone give me advise or try to sign up yourselves and see if it seems on the up and up. Here is the instructions on the site. http://www.carsponsorships.com/faq.html It sounds like an everyone wins thing. If you have $89 for us you are a winner in our book champ.........

Well, just the standard membership gets you several "quasi-sponsorships" where you get stuff at discount. You will also get a full sponsorship from a graphics company (decalkits.com I think) and you can get graphics for free.

However, for every company that you get stuff from, you are contractually obligated to display a sticker with their name on it on your car, ususally in more than one place.

You also must attend and enter a minimal number of car shows each year. I think it's 3.

It's only worth it if you get chosen for one of their "special sponsorship deals." I have a buddy who got chosen (he has a Honda, of course ) and he got brand new dunlop tires, graphics, led kit and a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember right now, for free.

It's not very likely at all that they will choose a Saturn for one of these deals so I'd say don't do it. I speak from expirience. I was a member last year. I just basically attended my minimum three shows and then got out of it.

Any company that tells you that you have to pay them for the sponcership isn't worth it. Also, they will not let you see the contract until after you pay them. They gave me some BS about lawyers fees is what the $95 is for. $95 to stick a few peices of paper in a copy machine. My ass.

There should be a few other threads about this very company and subject. Do a search. Lots of info and a few of my better rants on this subject.

MY two cents, I have owned a custom car business for over ten years now and have built a few sponsored cars for HIN shows and a few others. Its like this, until you can prove yourself in a show circut with your ideas and the execution of them its extremely hard to get a real sponsorship.
From what I have seen of this place you speak of its more of a normal joe put my name on your car and I will give you a break. This sounds good and all but you are cotractally liable to produce for them.

Commonly a full sponsored car is mearly a trailer queen and very rarely seen on the roads unless its at an event. A few of you remember the integra that I recently built with over nine months of labor (silvia headlights and supra tails, shaved everything including body kit, candy ice blue paint, ect.) This car was a full sponsored car BUT the owner still invested over $14,000 into others on the car. This is commonly what large sponsoring companies look for.

If you are interseted in this I have info but beware many people have tried to go down this road with nothing but frustration. Also look for this integra at this years HIN shows... Hope this helped.
