There is more of a chance of sucking up water with a short ram than there is with a K&N, the filter for the K&N is up in the top of the fender and is much higher than the filter on a short ram.

Summit is running a sale on all K&N products right now, you should email them with the K&N part number and get a price. That was the cheapest we could find it when me and Vita did the group buy for everyone.

How about stage 2 srts and the brake booster line... hear of that horror story yet? Instant loss of power brakes. There's a good set of pics on the CSC website of what happens when your brake booster line flys off on the interstate at 80mph.... how's that for dangerous?

I'd rather have the car shit off after a mod that it dosen't like, rather than loose my power brakes...

Nope I havent heard of it, I am not on the srt forums much. I don't think either is acceptable and are both issues to be very upset about. I was more referring to the boost leak v. car shutting down thing you referenced.

How the hell does stg 2 cause the booster line to blow off?

I've been having issues w/ my DIY shorty intake, too.

Sometimes, for no reason, at WOT, it goes into limp mode. Sometimes, it doesn't. Usually occurs on damp days, more so than dry ones.

I'm gonna take it out next weekend, check all the connections, make sure the MAF is sealed in right.

If it still isn't working, might have to switch to K&N CAI. I just don't like taht feeling of...hmm, SHOULD I go WOT? I really don't feel like pulling to the side of the road and letting it sit for a minute

Get your codes read. I'd be curious to see if you're throwing the same ones as me.
