HP Tuners now supporting 2.4 TwinCam and 2.2 Ecotec!!

www.hptuners.com

Grandma just ordered their goodies to fine tune the beast, and they're supporting the 2.2 as well!!

THIS IS BIG NEWS FOR BOOSTING THE ECO!!

Support for the LSJ is not here quite yet, but they have said it is in the last stages of R&D!!

Oh yeah, baby....

Damn, you've ruined my 'suprise' that I've been quietly watching! I'm pretty stoked about the HP setup. I have the help files and such, and have been reading up on it. VERY nice. Everything that we want to do contained in a nice programming package!

Looks like grandma is gonna get rid of that limiter huh?

And then some, lol. The current setup consists of the GM supercharger kit reflash ( so that the PCM has the faintest idea what to do with boost), a wideband AFC and an MSD DISII. Thing is, that flash is designed for the kit with it's pussified M45 running 6 lbs of non-intercooled fury with 320 injectors. It will "support" up to 9 lbs and 360's. Grandma is running 440's and 13 (soon to be 14.5) lbs. Thus far, the wideband AFC and an MSD DISII have been used to "tune" things - or more accurately, "allow things to run without completely sucking", lol. The linear nature of those tools allows tuning for WOT and peak power with a reasonable AFR. It does NOT allow much to be accomplished "under the curve", as it were.

HP's suite ROCKS. Not only with the limiter be moved to 999 mph, but the rev limiter will be bumped a couple hundred RPM, and the fuel maps and AFR's can be logged and retuned to be maximized all the way up. A few more ponies will definately be found at the peak, but overall response should be drasticly improved, as well as gas mileage. That and he just ordered some 24.5 x 8.5 x 15 inch slicks.

We were gonna hit the track this Friday on the slicks and try for those 12's, but now that the HP suite is ordered, we're going to a club whereKeith Hillebrandt of NIN is spinning with a freind of mine instead, lol. Once some dyno tuning with HP has been done, he'll be back to Street Wars and who knows...?

Oooooohhhhh I so can't wait for this to be available for the LSJ....

And curses to you for keeping it under wraps, lol. See what it got you? Sorry to ruin your surprise.

How fortunate of me to be moving to the Santa Clarita/Valencia area in less than a month...Guess I'd make a pretty convenient Beta tester, huh?

hmmm......

It wasn't mine anyway, a little birdie let me know a few days ago that they seemed alot closer than in the past, and Tibbet or Ender told me about it at the Lingenfelter trip, but I wasn't checking myself till the last couple of days. Too much tuning frenzy around here as it is, ya know? Just watch this thread grow!

GM's gonna miss the boat, badly, if they don't get those stage kits out this week...

Question for you guys. I have the Intense Kit on my 04, and yes I had bought it before that Intense found out that the 04 PCM is different. They are offering to buy it back, however my question is will this new HP tuners software enable me to correct the A/F ratios and run the intense kit?

Thanks in advance

You won't need any kit with the HP Tuners software, IF it comes to fruition. I don't want everyone hyped till it's out. There's no concrete guarantee that I've seen so far, but it does look promising.

The HP software allows ECM access and tuning. You don't need to use a MAF-T to lie to the stock computer about the injector sizes. You simply retune the ECM itself. Very trick.

Thats what I assumed. I know you obviously wouldnt need the MAF-T, I am just hoping/assuming once you get the tuning software having the 04 PCM won't matter as you are literally writing your own computer programming. I hope I am correct in this.
